Ramadan is my favourite occasion in Malaysia. It is that time of the year when all malls get creative in their themes and decors.
Last June 14, 2016 I was privileged to witness the revelation of IOI City Mall‘s theme for Ramadan this year. Mystical, inspirational, artistic are just a few to describe the wonders of Morocco. Thus, this festive season IOI City Mall transformed its Ramadan decor into “A Mystical Ramadan”, inspired by the Moroccan mystical touches.
They have constructed the Lower Ground Floor Centre Court of the mall into a Moroccan Square, the main highlight of the festive decor. It features an iconic wooden-handcrafted arch, surrounded with distinctive and vibrant Moroccan motif, aesthetic palm trees, pedestal fountains and camels display.
Throughout the festive season, shoppers will get to check out a wide array of merchandises as they shop through the unique market place scattered at LG Centre Court, LG East Wing, LG West Wing, GF East Wing and GF West Wing of the mall. Ranging from hampers and festive delicacies, traditional costumes, clothing and accessories, fragrances, craft items, carpets and books.
Plus the mall is also extending its business hours until 11pm from June 24 to July 3, 2016!
We understand that there is just so much to prepare for the festive season so we are extending our business hours, allowing shoppers to shop in convenience. surprises awaits shoppers:

- Patrons will dazzled with various festive performances and fun-filled activities during the Public Holidays and weekends.
During the event we also got to see the children of Rumah Penyayang Ulin Nuha. Earlier the day, the children enjoyed complimentary Angry Birds movie session courtesy of Golden Screen Cinemas, followed with Hari Raya shopping at LOL, Parkson and Zurfauzie Classic. Additionally, the children got to enjoy a workshop activity with Artopanda.
And they received sponsored items by Castania, Edibee, BMS Organics, Caring Pharmacy, and Yubiso.
To cap off the outreach, we got to join and enjoy a nice “buka puasa” with the kids thanks to Texas Chicken Malaysia!
I definitely had a fun mystical time at the IOI City Mall considering it was my first time there. I will definitely come back… for The Symphony Walk.
