Filipino Delicacies at the Food and Hotel Malaysia 2015

It’s been more than 10 months since I moved to Malaysia and I miss my homeland so much… especially the food! There’s only a few stores in KL offering Filipino food items, so when fellow Pinoy blogger, Carolyn, invited me to visit the Filipino food booth at the “Food and Hotel Malaysia 2015” I immediately said “Yes!” and went to check it out. The Philippine Embassy had set-up a kiosk in the said event showcasing food products from the Philippines.

The Philippine food stall at the KL Convention Centre is set-up at Hall 1, towards the farther left side of the hall. Upon reaching the booth, I was very ecstatic especially when I saw familiar brands like Mama Sita and Lipa Coconut Milk.

I went to taste all the food for trial in their displays. I missed the kalamansi juice, chili garlic sauce, polvoron (powdered milk candy), bagoong and Pinoy-made vinegar so much!

And of course, the star of the booth… the Philippine mangoes! I have to say that our mangoes are the best! Very different from the ones that we have here.

Thanks to the Philippine Embassy for setting up this booth for us to enjoy and for all the other nations to explore.

The food booth is open for everybody to check out at the KL Convention Centre Hall 1 until October 2, 2015 (Friday) only. The products will be sold on Friday as well!

All the products for display are open for importation here in Malaysia if you are interested! So better hurry and check them all out!
