Hotel Review: Pacific Regency Hotel Suites

I’ve been living and working in Malaysia for quite some time now and I love being in KL! But the thing is I haven’t gotten the chance to fully appreciate the beauty of Kuala Lumpur at night… until I got to go for a quick staycation at the Pacific Regency Hotel.

It’s a classy hotel situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, a walking distance to two Monorel stations (Bukit Nanas and Raja Chulan). I was surprised that the hotel is just a few distance away from the KL Tower… and what a sight to behold!

As as I reached the hotel a crew immediately welcomed me and helped me with my luggage.

In the reception, there’s a waiting area for guests with complimentary iced tea for refreshment.

I was booked at one of the Premiere Suites at their newly refurbished wing. Upon entering the room I was so impressed with the modern and snazzy interior. The room has a huge window overlooking the city of Kuala Lumpur, which was majestic.

The room is very spacious, about 603 square feet with a kitchenette complete with cutlery plus a coffee and tea facility.

The bed was so cushy and comfortable that I almost didn’t want to leave the room. It’s also facing a Flat Screen 42″ LCD TV with tons of satellite channels, perfect for channel surfing.

There’s also a work table, which was perfect as I wanted to finish some blog posts at that time, and has a nice comfy reading chair.

The bathroom also showed a modernistic touch. There was an egg shaped tub and the shower has a separate stall. I can’t help but to spend an hour in the tub for a relaxing soak.

I was then invited for dinner at the Cristallo Di Luna, the hotel’s newly renovated in-house fancy restaurant with an extensive selection of delectable dishes.

  • Daily  6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

To cap the night, I hang out at the Luna Bar, which has a breathtaking view of the city, and got to try their nice cocktail drinks. The sky bar also houses the huge swimming pool of the hotel.

  • Sunday – Thursday  10:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.
  • Friday, Saturday, Eve of Public Holiday 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 a.m.

The next morning, after relaxing night at my posh room, I got to enjoy a breakfast buffet of Malay cuisine and a wide selection of both fusion and international cuisine at the Soi23, located at the 23rd floor.

  • Daily  6:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

One day was not enough for a staycation at Pacific Regency, as I fell deeply in love with the trendy yet cozy room at their Premiere Suites. I wish I could stay longer.

If you’re planning for a nice honeymoon in the city or a comfy staycation I suggest booking at the new wing of Pacific Regency Hotel Suites.
