It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas time is near! And when the happiest season is nigh I crave for chill weather and yearn to see festive decors. I know Genting has to be the place to go.
I did get to go back to Genting (after a year) and wow a lot has changed. And the new futuristic-looking mall SKYAVENUE at Resorts World Genting is truly breathtaking!
And you must come and shop since SKYAVENUE has all the top brand shops and delightful F&B establishments, like MOTORINO for instance, which houses the best New York pizza ever.
And here are the OTHER reasons why you should come to Genting before this year ends!
1. World With Snoopy at Resorts World Genting
As you wander around SkyAvenue you’ll see Snoopy in different costumes from all over the world. And you can catch (and take pictures with) these fun displays until January 1, 2018.
Be among the first in the world to catch Snoopy in 52 custom-made costumes of different countries and cultures—the figurines will be placed at various locations in SkyAvenue and First World Rainforest.
Snoopy is also joined by Christmas tree floats, elves, snowmen and Santa Claus himself to create a festive atmosphere at Resorts World Genting this coming holiday season.
You can also own some exclusive Snoopy merchandises if you’re a Genting Rewards Card owner. Utilise your Genting Points to make redemption for a limited edition of Snoopy lanyard. And if you spend above RM400 at SkyAvenue you’ll receive a Snoopy notebook while those who spend above RM600 will receive a Snoopy tote bag.
2. Monkey King: The Golden Hooped Rod Saga in Resorts World Genting
This is a one-of-a-kind theatrical performance that is different from any stage performances I’ve seen. It showcases acrobatic performances and 3D technology to create a magical fantasy showcase.
The Monkey King is a mythological figure in Journey to the West, one of the most popular classical novels in China. The Adventures of the Monkey King: The Golden-Hooped Rod that will run from 11 November 2017 to 1 January 2018, presents a simple story of good versus evil that will nevertheless still charm its audience. To be held at Genting International Showroom, the 65-minute show is scheduled for 9pm daily with additional shows at 4pm, 5pm and 8pm on selected dates.
This colorful adaptation of the tale of the Monkey King, is being performed by the Nanjing Acrobatic Troupe and they have performed this act in Nanjing Cultural Arts Centre, Lian Yun Gang Culture Artistic Centre, Nanjing Sun Palace and Shanghai Poly Theatre since 2016. And this is the troupe’s first performance outside of China.
If you want to watch this show tickets are priced at RM176 (VIP), RM136 (PS1) and RM96 (PS2). And if you have Genting Rewards Card (GRC) you’ll get to enjoy 10% discount!
Over-all I enjoyed my weekend at Genting and you should come and visit too if just to get-away from the stress as well as the hustle and bustle of city life.
