Review: Goodness Greens by La Juiceria Cafe

March marks my health month as I’ve been eating and partying tons since December until February. And with that said, I was on a look out for a nice and cozy café that serves healthy food and caters to health conscious people.

I find it a perfect timing that Goodness Greens Café by La Juiceria opened its doors to the public last January 11, 2016.

It was indeed an honor that I got to check out La Juiceria’s new addition to its already successful line-up of cold-pressed juice venue… but this time they stepped up a notch with this healthy café.

The moment I walked into the café, I already felt the relaxing and welcoming vibe of Goodness Greens, from the interiors to the attendants (who were very cheerful and attentive).

Though like the other La Juiceria branches, the café has a wide array of cold-pressed juices, their food menu has limited selection at the time we visited the café. Although the attendant did mention that they are going to add more food in the mix soon.

“We are proud to announce that we are the first to introduce superfood smoothie bowl & vegan soups in Malaysia!”

We were first served with a nice warm pumpkin soup, which was creamy with a tinge of sweetness. It is noticeable that there’s no added salt in the soup and yet it tasted good.

But my favorite was the garlic bread and dip that came with the soup, love the avocado dip.

“Our soups are plant-powered and made from scratch. It ranges from green zucchini, pumpkin, carrot with rosemary and mushroom. These soups are perfect for those who wish to find alternative from dairy as we use Almond Mylk to make the soups creamy. It doesn’t stop there; we provide 2 slices of garlic bread to dip with your creamy vegetable soup. Perfect for appetizers before your main meal.”

Next was our customized salad. The good thing about the café is that you can choose the size, the base, the mains, supplementary and dressing of your salad. And they have a huge range of choices! Selecting which one to put in our bowl was fun… and tough!

And finally, we were able to indulge in their signature Smoothie Bowl. It’s a small vibrant bowl of Acai berry smoothie topped with fresh fruits, cacao, chia seeds, desiccated coconuts and bee pollen. The delicious desert is packed with anti-oxidants and is totally filling.

And of course, we were able to enjoy La Juiceria’s popular cold-pressed juices, which was served in a bowl of ice.

“Our Goodness Greens Café is our 13th Detox Bar for La Juiceria so expect the same service from our 12 awesome outlets.”
