EXPERIENCE: Slide the City at Night!

First adventure in Malaysia! Well, not really hehehe. But this is the first time I attended this kind of event. Slide the City is a global phenomenon wherein participants can slide down a gigantic slip n’ slide.

Slide the City is not new to the Malaysian scene. The premium slide was first brought to Malaysia in December 2015 by Monkey Theory Sdn. Bhd and has since journeyed across Malaysia and landed in states such as Penang, Melaka, Kuantan and Johor Bahru.

As far as I know, the Slide the City event is done during day time but this year we were able to experience the fun activities and of course the huge slide under the moonlight! Which is actually better because then I do not have to worry about getting darker skin or worse… getting sunburnt!

Although, I was not able to slide down the huge waterslide I however was able to enjoy the other fun activities they have in store like the Dunk a Friend, The Resistance Stretch, The Bull Ride and Gladiator Joust.

There also was a zumba session for those who wants to get fit or just dance along to the zumba beats. But my favorite part the #urbanbeach area where I got to chill out. I wasn’t able to take much pictures because I was focusing on vlogging my experience, which you should watch for at my YOUTUBE CHANNEL. Here’s a clip from my vlog (I will be uploading it this weekend).

We passed by some food trucks as well, which I was perfect, ‘coz I was getting hungry due to all the running around I was doing.

Anyway, if in case you would want to experience this with your buddies, family members and/or your beau, you can purchase the tickets at slidethecity.asia or at select 7-ELeven stores in Selangor, Penang Island and Klang Valley. You can also buy the tickets in the venue at Car Park C, Setia City Convention Centre (Setia Alam) during the event days:

  • Friday (5pm to 12am)
  • Saturday – Sunday (9am to 12am)

Regular tickets: RM29
VIP: RM86
