Experiencing Vermosa Bike Night Carnival

I recently went to check out Vermosa, it is Ayala Lands’s 700-hectare estate development in Cavite, the recently launched the Vermosa Bike Skills Park to support the growing trend of health-conscious Filipinos. I wanted to see the purpose-built mountain bike skills park, one of South Luzon’s cycling spots.

“I hope to encourage people towards an active lifestyle through biking. I have taken what I learned from training and competing abroad to design the Vermosa Bike Skills Park so more Filipinos can hone their skills and become world-class riders as well.” Said Parabenne “Bans” Mendoza, professional cyclist and Fox Athlete.

I was also able to witness the fun cycling activities during the Bike Night Carnival, thanks to Juan Manila who invited me to go.

The event kicked off with the Toddy Kid’s Bike Race.

Then there were the XDS Night Cross-Country Short Circuit Race followed by the Lapierre Night Pump Track Challenge, which I did not get to witness anymore as I needed to leave. Top Winners of the Night Pump Track Challenge got to go home with one Lapierre bike (for the novice category top finisher) and one GT bike (for the beginner category first placer).

But the highlight of the event was when I met the pro riders, Josh Lewis (Fox Athlete) and my new crushies. Ali Parkin (blush) and Sam Flanagan (hihihi) of Trippin Fellaz.

Ali Parkin gave us a brief workshop on biking and discussed about the safety measures of mountain biking. And yes I think I was salivating the whole time I was watching him speak haha.

Although, I do not know how to ride a bike, watching the bikers pedalling up and down the racks… and seeing cutie Ali Parkin do his thing, encouraged me to go on an active lifestyle… that is if I get to find a time haha.

Discover and push the pedals towards living the healthier and active lifestyle that you’ve always wanted in Vermosa, Ayala Lands’s newest master-planned estate and premier destination for “new age” sports.
